Former Manchester City Midfielder Joey Barton Charged for betting on 44 Matches


Former Manchester City Midfielder Joey Barton has been charged for breaking the gambling rules, Joey Barton who now plays for Scottish team Ranger FC was charged by Scottish FA for placing bet on 44 Matches which includes Barcelona versus Celtic champions League Match.

According to Reports all the 44 Matches were between 1 July to 15 September, 2016, although Scottish FA have no betting policy but its disciplinary rule 33 states that coaches, players, club officials and referees in Scotland are not to place bet on any football Matches any where in the world.

Joey is to respond to the charges on or before 12 October and the hearing is set for 27 October, 2016.
