Modern Market at Egbe Idimu LCDA of Lagos State built under Powerline Demolished


A New Modern Market called Olorunsogo Irepodun Oladun Modern Market built at Council Bus Stop extending through Oladun Street down to Powerline Bus Stop, Isheri-Olofin, Alimosho, Area of Lagos, Nigeria has been demolished.

The Modern Market which was built under High Tension were stormed by Task Force and other Lagos state agency with Excavator yesterday 9th of August, 2016 pulling down the buildings.

Traders at the Modern Market claim they paid 1.4 Million Naira for Outright Sales per shop while some said they paid N10,000 monthly for the rent among others.

The Developer and those who authorized the construction of the Market and also collected the money from those who rented the shops have been reported to have abscond.

Lagos State Government have made it clear, there will be no refund because they did not authorize the building of the Market in the first place.
