Italian Sculptor who designed FIFA World Cup, UEFA Cup, European Super Cup and other international trophies gives up the ghost at 95



Man who designed who designed and created the current version of the FIFA World Cup trophy Silvio Gazzaniga have given up the ghost at the age of 95.  The Itialian sculptor designed the trophy in 1971.

He also designed UEFA Cup, European Super Cup among other international trophies.

According to a statement made by son Giorgio He passed away in his sleep on Monday October 31 following series of minor aliment.

Giorgio who announced his father’s demise said ‘He just didn't wake up this morning. It was a peaceful death.’
