Samsung Galaxy Note7 Baned From all U.S., Europe and Asia Airplanes

All Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been banned from being taken onboard any U.S., Europe and Asia Airplanes, the banned which took effect from Saturday 15th October, 2016 was placed by The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), in conjunction with other agency after recognizing its potential risk of putting people's life at risk.

According to DOT

“We recognize that banning these phones from airlines will inconvenience some passengers, but the safety of all those aboard an aircraft must take priority,” said Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. “We are taking this additional step because even one fire incident inflight poses a high risk of severe personal injury and puts many lives at risk.”

“The fire hazard with the original Note7 and with the replacement Note7 is simply too great for anyone to risk it and not respond to this official recall,” said CPSC Chairman Elliot F. Kaye. “I would like to remind consumers once again to take advantage of the remedies offered, including a full refund.  It’s the right thing to do and the safest thing to do.”

After U.S. made its ban other airlines across Asia and Europe which include Hong Kong, China, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Germany, Italy among others have also banned the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 from its flights.

Samsung had initially stopped the manufacturing and sales of the devices after making its recall.
