Nigerian Police has Spent N600M on importation of foreign Dogs





 Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase revealed today in a statement made at the inauguration of the Police Dog Breeding Centre and Ultra-Modern Mounted Troop in Abuja that the Nigerian PoliceForce, in the last couple of years has spent about N600M for the importation of foreign dogs and now they will stop that in a bid to save money.
According to Arase, the Centre if effectively utilized has the capacity to supply dogs to the entire West African sub-Region. It would also save the country some foreign exchange that would have gone into the importation of dogs.
The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau in his speech said that the Centre will not just reduce spending, but provide jobs for other Nigerians aside from the police Vanguard Revealed.
