A
33-year-old teacher, Abiodun Fashola, who allegedly defiled one of his
students by sucking her private part, was on Tuesday brought before an
Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court in Lagos State.
The accused, resident of 44 Adewale Adegun Street, Karaole Estate, Ogba, Lagos, is facing a four-count charge of assault, deprivation of liberty, harassment and attempt to commit felony.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Jimah Iseghede, told the court that the offences were committed on September 3 at the residence of the accused.
According to Iseghede, the victim, a 12-year-old girl, went to house of the accused for 'extra lessons.'
"After the accused finished teaching her, he asked her to help him take his shoes to his room and thereafter, he shut the door at her, stripped her and sucked her private part.
"He also sucked her breast and was almost penetrating when he heard a knock at his door," he said.
The offence, according to the prosecutor, contravened sections 261, 262, 270 and 404 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, denied the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison and adjourned the case till September 30 for ruling on bail application.
